As I sit in my kitchen closing out 2024, I’m reflecting on the past year. We had 5 beautiful female crias born (emphasis on female!), we entered numerous shows with respectable results for our small farm of 20 animals, and we opened our on farm and online stores. Quite a bit to accomplish in just 365 days!

Looking towards 2025, I have great hopes for our small show string of juvenile females. After having been in the alpaca business for over 20 years, we take a somewhat reserved approach to showing. We don’t chase ribbons or points, and only appear in the show ring if we feel that we have something special at the end of the lead line. We will see if the crias that I’m impressed with this winter make the cut.

In addition to expanding our farm stores, we plan to add personal, one on one farm tours in 2025. These intimate tours will give people a behind the scenes look at our farm operations and some special time with our alpacas.
